01 May Van Vliet Trucks opens in Ghana
Friday, 27 January 2012 was an important date for Van Vliet Trucks. It was the day the Netherlands based dealer in commercial vehicles opened its Ghana premises. More than 250 dignitaries, including diplomats and customers of the company, attended the special occasion, witnessing speeches by the representatives of the Dutch Embassy in Ghana and other VIPs. The guests were taken through a tour of the premises of the company, comprising parking lot, offices and workshops.
The event was also used by Van Vliet Trucks to launch its unique one-stop shop concept in Ghana. The company will not only have a large stock of 4-wheel drives and trucks available in Ghana, but also of heavy eq uipment and spare parts.
The ultra-modern facility consists of a well-equipped workshop, where the company can perform all kinds of re pairs with European equipment, and a custom-bonded area of more than 10,000 square metres, where vehicles, including new 4WDs and trucks, are parked. Founded 59 years ago, the Van Vliet Automotive Group has been active internationally for many years. It also has a large office and warehouse in Dubai, coordinating sales activities in the Middle East and East Africa. West Africa is becoming an important outlet for Van Vliet Trucks, too, which is why the company decided to open shop in Ghana.
